film review: masahista

the film is about the life of a common masahista hence the title and raked many awards from different film authorities. The film has great camera angles and nice script (IMHO is because of the director and writer) and also I liked the way the film was edited. So I could say the film was good all in all but would have been really really really great if i was friggin gay! (Which I am NOT. Totally, completely, absolutely!)

moral lessons learned:
1.) Read carefully the plot summary if ever you wish to watch artsy films.
2.) It is not enough to know they won an award. You have to know what kind of award and who gave those awards.

And all along I thought only horror films could give me goosebumps.

of responsibilities and obligations

there is but a thin line on the difference between them. And like truth, it is subjective. Hence absolute truth exists only in oneself. Sad to say responsibility and obligation falls under the same category as well.

The only difference i think between the two is that responsibilities must come with heart. I mean willingness of the heart and not of the mind, which in turn is a requisite for obligations.

Arrrgh.... It's been some years now since I've come of age and different kinds of responsibilites and obligations are bombarding me like crazy. Turning my back and/or running away like crazy (talagang crazy) is not an option.

God give me strength and patience.

children of the corn

here is my theory of corniness for those of you who still thinks that being corny is corny. (no pun intended. Well maybe a little.)

In my honest opinion all people are corny (yes, even you dear reader!) they or rather you just don't know it yet. In my observation, being a person who admits corniness flows in my veins, people are just shy to show that they are corny.

Take this 2 scenarios for instance:

1.) In our org everytime I sit near them they say 'Manghahawa ka nanaman ng kacornihan mo' and eventually they would utter something corny then blame it on me. Hello! I didn't do anything (Yes I know Maritess, but let's not forget that fishes are Aquaman's subordinates, yep, even the tilapia your frying.)! All I did was sit there for crying out loud!

2.) In the office where I work, I was recently nominated for The Jubilee Paredes Last Comic Standing Award (and 3 other nominations) which of course was because of the fact that they deemed me worthy of such nomination. Also again there is still the blame it on the corny guy when someone utter a corny joke.

The difference between the 2 scenarios is that I have more officemates than orgmates hence the probability of having a corny guy around would logically be higher but inspite of that very high a difference they still managed to pinpoint me as one of the corniest. Oh well...

[note to self: aga ko sa office]

of rest but not relaxation

it has been a couple of weekends wherein I just stayed home. But this is the first weekend where I literally slept my way to let time pass by. If only there was force sleep or an OFF/HIBERNATE button somewhere in my body, now that would really come in handy.

Saturday I slept from 2:00PM - 9:00PM. Watched Bridget Jones Diary and then tried to sleep afterwards because I need to wake up early for church but instead I watched the sequel of the said movie after a futile attempt to sleep. Slept around 3:00AM.

Sunday, Today, got up early, went to church, as always tatay's preaching got me. Don't want to be a Sunday Christian but heck I'm still missing a certain something that i've yet to find. (Vague arrrggh!) After worship slept from 2:00PM - 5:00PM and now here in a computer shop don't know if i'm ranting in my blog or what.

Somebody get me out of this routine. now na.

Today, I waived my no speaking terms.

gimiks galore

hi peeps! It's been a while since my last post and wheew! I sure do miss posting stuffs in my blog. I do have time mind you, what's lacking is sheer will power. hahahahaha.. Bummer sobra tamad ko talaga. Anyway, recently I've added a wishlist in my blog and for those who don't know, October is my birthday month and you could just consolidate your gift money and buy me any one of the things in my wishlist... hahahahaha...

Saisaki Wednesdays!

A lot of planning went to this very event and snap! All I could remember was the smile on my face while laying on my bed on a full stomach.
The tempura wasn't as good as I imagined it though and there's no crab sticks and crab sashimi. But the heck! Sarap pa rin! Busog to the bone!
(Note: I know the pic is not tempura. I was so busy eating I forgot to take photos of most of the food.)

Badminton Thursdays!
Whew! Last last week we had to cancel badminton for our Office BINGO but I wasn't able to join my fellow SPLers because I went to Karl's place to watch some bleach episodes. (Talk about priorities. Hehehehe..) So what I meant to say is that I was excited to play badminton again. Nothing special really happened last thursday except of course a smack in the face of what smoking can do to you. Hahahaha.. and oh, lost my water jug... huhuhuhuhu.... good thing i went to tutuban last saturday.

Dampa Fridays! (Note: Rubber band not needed)
Friday! The most awaited day of the week. We went to Dampa in Sucat. We ordered sea foods all the way. We waited at least 1.5hrs before our orders came but sure is worth it. Slept again with a full stomach. ^___^

Soccer Saturdays!
Yay! My 2nd game of soccer. Got tired easily and proved less helpful to the team. (Sorry Pads and Ge. hehehe) It was also my first all the way from our house commute to Ultra. Again memory failed me for the Nth time by forgetting to bring some socks.. Dope! (In Homerian Accent) That's why I had to make a side trip to SM Dept store to buy some good thick socks because the last time I wore thin socks and lo and behold I got instant bruises galore to my
heel and sole.
After the game we went to R....... (forgot the name of the place) for dinner and we ate sisig. (I should stop eating really stop eating oily foods) Then I bought some DVDs as pasalubong to my kapatids.

Here ends my gimiks for last week. Looking at my ATM balance, I spent 25% of my salary. Which means by the end of the 3rd week of the month I might be flat broke!

PS. I Love You Mama.
